Over time the result is the same, you have a collection of
models that are in such bad shape that they are worthless.
When that happens you can just throw them away or ...


...You can customize and restore them. The best way to
to customize these cars is to use the "body-off" restoration
method. Which is shown in the pix above. Literally taking
the body off the rest of the car and restoring it separately.

Here (above) is a Corvette that recently came into the
Custom Shop. The pix below are all of this same Corvette.

Not only is this car restored it looks better than ever.
In addition it's unique there isn't another one like it
anywhere. I think you can see now why 1-6x customization
is not only fun but worthwhile as well.

You can probably see what's involved from the pics
above. But if you can't fear not, we'll be going
through the whole process step-by-step in a future
issue.
