This month's featured 16-x diecast model is the car I used to create the
Scene of the Month
As I stated in that article I just can't say enough about this great model.
As you can see this model has very realistic grill features ( #1)
I give this model FIVE STARS
The Johnny Lightning / Playing Mantis
1969 Mercury Cougar Classic Gold edition.
I have never
scene a better Diecast than this. Let's take a closer look at it.
including license plate frame and parking lights.
On both sides #2 and #5 you can see double pin stripes
including an angle stripe down the doors. In addition it has painted
marker lights front and rear and the ones in front are amber. It also
has a "Cougar' detail on the rear quarter panels (#3) as well as real
rubber tires with raised white "BF Goodrich Radial T/A Lettering.
(Notice
in pic #4 the treads on the tires.) It also has real chrome mags designed by
Cragar. It has red detailed tail lights and rear license frame (#4)
It also has a detailed interior (#6 and #7) including vertical stitching on
the vinyl seats and rivets on the edge of the convertible top.
It also has a molded dashboard that includes a fairly realistic center console
with stick shift. In addition the car has "Excellent Roll" and great "Road Feel"
due to it's rubber tires.
